Back-Contact Cells

Our Back-contact solar cell (BSC) technology was developed in cooperation with ECN. The technology is based on so called “metal wrap through”. Pilot production of this cell will take place in the course of 2008. Small scale commercial production is planned for 2009.

Advantages

• Extra surface area for catching light / sunlight, resulting in higher output;
• An attractive front face;
• New module assembly concepts, resulting in lower module production costs.
