17-04-2009 / ECN achieves world-record with Sunweb technology

ECN achieves a world-record efficiency for photovoltaic modules with multicrystalline silicon “back-contact” solar cells. The solar cells that have been used in the modules are similar to Sunweb solar cells, developed together by Solland and ECN. Solland will be the first cell producer in the world to start commercial production of this world-record solar cell, later this year. More about this in the press release by ECN.
